2019 is over and with it, another year of reading. At the start of the year I set myself the challenge on Goodreads, to read 100 books. This has been my standard goal for the past four years, so I knew that it was pretty manageable.
This past year was a great year of reading for me. Not only did I surpass my goal by fifty books, but I also delve deeper into genres that I'd never spent a lot of time reading.
I fell into reading non-fiction, specifically memoirs in a way that I hadn't ever before. I also read more classics, poetry, and history both fictional and non-fictional. My year of reading was varied in a way previous years, which have tended to be YA Contemporary heavy, haven't been. Though, I did read some pretty good YA books as well.
I found some amazing favourites (post to follow) and also found a few books that I wouldn't rush pick up again, but I enjoyed reading so many different things.
I listened to a lot of audiobooks, flipped a lot of pages and tapped many screens while working my way through these one hundred and fifty books, and I had a great time doing it.
So, here are a few of my reading stats for the year.

In 2020, I decided to up my reading goal, challenging myself to read 155 books. Which, two days into the year without having finished even half a book, seems a little daunting now I think about it. But, hopefully with enough coffee, reading challenges and amazing new stories to discover. It'll be simple.
