March was a strange month. Coming from a month where I read an insane 49 books. I wasn't sure I'd be in the mood to get any reading done at all, and the month did start a little on the slower side.
But, then the UK went into lockdown, and while I don't get out much anyway because of my health, this did leave me with more time at home than I would have in an average month, and there was just something about being told that I have to stay inside for weeks or months, that made me want to at least be productive.
Part of being productive from me was to read, and especially to try and get through some of my NetGalley's that have been piling up.
This wrap-up will be my first time using a new format, seperating the books I read into the following categories.
Books From my Shelf: This includes any books that I own, either in physical copy or a digital version.
Audiobooks: This one is exactly what it says it is, books in audio format.
Library: This will include books I borrow from the library, including the online digital library. Also, books I borrow from other people.
NetGalley: Ant books provided to me via NetGalley for review. I'll also be including other review books in this category. Though, most of my review copies do come from NetGalley.
Ok, with that done with. Here's what I read in March.
1. The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman
2. Great Lives of Other Lands by W.B. White
3. The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
4. The Light of the Fireflies by Paul Pen & Simon Bruni
5. Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
6. This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
7. What We Owe by Golnaz Hashemzadeh Bonde
8. The Great Homecoming by Anna Kim
9. The Last Children of Mill Creek by Vivian Gibson
10. Last Lesson by James Goodhand
11. Things I Learned from Falling by Claire Nelson
12. Growing Nightmares and Dreams by Oliver G. Thompson
13. Britain's Wartime Evacuees by Gillian Mawson
I'm pretty happy with 13 books for the month and pleased that 6 of them came from my too long NetGalley list. Next month I'm not sure what to expect. On the one hand, I won't be leaving the house with the lockdown continuing, however, April is also Camp NaNoWriMo. I may spend much more time writing than reading, but I still hope to get a few books done, including a few more NetGalley's, before I get tempted to request more.
